The medical care of the poor area of Nuwakot had never been worth mentioning, but this shortcoming became particularly tragic after the earthquakes. The government agencies were completely overburdened to provide remote regions such as Nuwakot with the needed medical care in time. So, many serious injuries could not be treated for many months. Not even before winter 2015, when the people now also suffered from the cold in addition to the situation as they lived in unheated and uninhabitable ruins. The consequences were severe illnesses such as the flue, pneumonia and other infections. The vast majority of the local population had received no medical help. Not until Back to Life came to the villages with a mobile health camp.
